Layout - The Current Status

Greetings, Orfhalars!

Fulfillment is getting closer, so let us talk about the current status of the project.

First of all, we are working on our website to implement interactive maps of our worlds, including Svilland, and soon Orfhal and the South Sea. You can check out the beta version here and give us feedback on our Discord channel or by sending us an email at [email protected]

Secondly, the VTT conversion of Svilland has started and will include everything from Freyja's Tears to Orfhal. It might take some time to complete them all, as each will be made for both Foundry VTT and Roll20. Also, the conversion of Svilland for Fantasy Grounds has now begun!

Lastly, let us talk about the current status of the project. The layout had already begun, but we paused it to add 23 more illustrations for the monsters. We didn't originally have the budget to illustrate every monster, but things have been going well with our webstore, and we managed to divert some funds to complete the entire monster compendium. Although it is common for some monsters to go without illustrations in TTRPG books, we are now working with a 3D designer to convert all our monsters into STLs, and we didn't want Orfhal to be left behind when the time comes.

The new illustrations have added 2 to 3 months to the process. However, this has also given us more time to work on the fine details of the adventure. It is our first time outsourcing the layout, as we aspire to create something truly inspiring, so there could be setbacks that we haven't anticipated.

Updates on Many Things!

Greetings, Orfhalars!

We are back with another update regarding the brutal, deadly, mystical, and nearly impossible-to-live-in lands of Orfhal.

First of all, thank you for the high-quality feedback you have provided. Your thoughts are incredibly important to us, as they help guide us toward creating the best content possible.

While we wait for additional feedback, editing, and artwork, we continue writing and expanding the book’s content. Although we have faced many motivation-draining and joy-sapping challenges in recent months, especially logistical and economic ones, we cannot stop creating. It is our passion, and it continues to drive us forward.

Speaking of logistics, we have some news. We have decided to close the warehouse we opened in Türkiye. Due to political instability in neighboring countries, we have faced numerous price increases and other unexpected logistical challenges. As a result, we have decided to return to working with well-established international logistics companies for a swift and smooth operation. Our goal is to provide the best service possible.

Content-wise, we also have several updates.

The setting book is currently in the layout stage, and we have outsourced the layout process. The talented artists we have been working with have been more than willing to assist us, and we are excited to see the book taking its final shape.

At the same time, the artwork for the adventure book is being created. While the setting book is in layout, the remaining adventure illustrations will be completed. At our current pace, we expect this process to take approximately two to three months. Once the setting book’s layout is finalized, work on the adventure book’s layout will begin immediately afterward.

Finally, we currently expect the printing process to begin toward the end of this year.

A great many things have happened on our side over the past months. At times, it has felt as though we have endured a long black ice storm. Through it all, your patience, encouragement, and support have meant more to us than words can express.

Test Document Part 2 Is Here!

Greetings, Orfhalars!

We are back with another exciting update regarding Frozen Lands of Orfhal.

The second part of the test document has now been uploaded and shared with all backers. This section focuses on the monsters and NPCs of Orfhal, including many of the dangers, warriors, beasts, and strange figures that wander the frozen lands.

With this release, all written content for Frozen Lands of Orfhal is now complete. We are currently waiting for the artwork to arrive so we can begin the layout process. Meanwhile, we continue working on the adventure itself, including the short beginner-friendly introduction adventure we mentioned in the previous update.

We are still collecting feedback for both test documents. Your thoughts, critiques, and suggestions are extremely important to us and help shape the final version of the book. If you have not yet shared your feedback, please consider filling out the form.

Greetings, Orfhalars!

It has been over a month since our latest update, and we wanted to reach out to share details on the project’s progress.

The first test document is quite extensive, and it may take some time to review thoroughly. We have not yet received enough feedback to begin revisions, so we have decided to wait a bit longer. We plan to share the second part next week. In the meantime, please share your thoughts using this form. Your feedback is very important to us.

The second part will consist of monsters and NPCs. In addition, we are working on a short, beginner-friendly adventure for those who wish to experience Svilland for the first time. Once we receive sufficient feedback on both parts, we plan to share this adventure before releasing the main one.

The Artwork

We are collaborating with many artists to illustrate almost everything in the book. We have incorporated a variety of art styles, so there is something for everyone’s taste. Here is a sneak peek at the artwork:
